A homemade bomb exploded on Thursday near the security directorate headquarters of the Gharbeya governorate, injuring two security men, state media reported.
General Osama Badeer, the Gharbeya security director,received notice of the incident and informed a bomb squad.
The sight of the explosion is now surrounded by a security cordon, according to state media.
The injured have been taken to hospitals while the prosecutor is to investigate the incident.
