Barclays Egypt launched “Barclays Direct” for company wage payments as its newest financial service; this product is considered one of the strategic foundations announced by the bank for 2014.
“Barclays Direct” is one of the leading initiatives allowing the blending of financial services for both clients and commercials, which enables the bank to attain its strategy of being an integrated bank through expanding the clients’ accounts, enhancing Barclays Egypt’s market competitiveness.
Head of Retail Department in Barclays Egypt Omar Big stressed: “The service being launched is a step further within our obligation to provide distinct financial products meeting the strategic needs of the Egyptian market,” in addition to setting Barclays as a model of “uniqueness”, as it has always been characterised.
“Barclays Direct” service enables companies and employees to benefit from its advantages, since it opens the door for employers to meet the varying needs of their employees through providing the first and sole integrated life insurance service in the Egyptian market. Furthermore, activating the “Platinum Miles” service on credit cards and direct discounts increases the travelling opportunities and allows for the use ATMs owned by other networks.
Head of Barclays Direct Department Emad Luis stated that launching the new service is in compliance with the bank’s objectives of supplying the best financial solutions while meeting the clients’ needs directly or through its nation-wide branching network. Moreover, the initiation of a specific service unit for wages accounts will help track the needs of companies and their employees, he said. Other advantages include the variation in the special packages accounts, whether for senior management or executive directors, encompassing all employment levels, easing ATM transactions through other banks’ networks and special programmes for credit cards and loans based on different clients’ needs and lifestyles.
