The Egyptian Stock Exchange announced the launch of a new website they say will perform faster and with greater accuracy.

Hesham Tork, head of the Stock Exchange’s public relations, said the improvements made to their website include a more navigable homepage.

“Stock numbers will now be automatically updated when changes occur, instead of having a 15-minute delay, which used to happen on the old website,” he said.

The website was in a testing phase on Wednesday and was scheduled for a full launch Wednesday evening.

Tork said the website will “showcase an enhanced view of listed companies and their performance,” as well as display events organised and administered by the stock exchange, including conferences and meetings.

The website’s new design includes English and Arabic interfaces.

“We are aiming to improve our interaction with the website’s users and enhance their overall experience while searching the site, especially regarding pages that contain constantly changing data and updated newscasts,” he said.
