Arab health conference begins

A conference is being held on Wednesday by the Secretary General of the Arab League Nabil El-Araby and health ministers from various Arab countries to discuss the current state of healthcare in the Arab world, the state-run news agency MENA reported. The meetings will continue on Thursday, where ministers are expected to discuss ways in which they can foster more cooperation.

Participating in the meetings are delegates from 20 different Arab countries. The delegations are also expected to discuss the future of health care in the Arab world and possible investments in the health sector.

On the subject of regional cooperation, the delegations will discuss how to transfer medical expertise between countries in order to improve health services in the Arab world.
