Revenue from Egypt’s Suez Canal rose 2.6 percent month-on-month to $423.4 million in December, the Suez Canal Authority website showed on Sunday.
Revenue in November was $412.8 million. The waterway is a vital source of foreign currency in Egypt, along with tourism, oil and gas exports and remittances from Egyptians living abroad.
