Suez Canal July revenue up 5.9 pct from June

Revenue from Egypt’s Suez Canal rose 5.9 percent to $406.2 million in July, a state website showed on Sunday.

Revenue in June was $383.7 million.

The waterway is a vital source of foreign currency in Egypt, along with tourism, oil and gas exports and remittances from Egyptians living abroad.
