CAIRO: Masri have signed former Montpellier striker Abdoulaye Cisse on a one-year deal, the Egyptian Premier League club said.

The Burkina Faso forward is joining the coastal city club from Qatari side Al-Khor for an undisclosed fee.

Cisse played five seasons from Montpellier, scoring 35 goals in 154 appearances.

He moved to the gulf in January 2007, playing for several Saudi and Qatari clubs but his most successful spell was with Al-Siliya, where he found the net 24 times.

Masri have also landed Zambian striker Signs Chibambo from Nigerian club Heartland.

The Egyptian FA regulations prohibit clubs from registering more than three foreign players in their squads, which means Masri have to let go at least two of their three Malian players.

Forwards Osman Bagayoko and Bakary Coulibaly and defender Eliassou Issiaka have all joined last January.

Coulibaly and Bagayoko will reportedly leave this summer to make way for the new arrivals.
