CAIRO: Zamalek will enter competition against rivals Ahly for the services of highly-rated Mansoura keeper Mahmoud Aboul-Saoud.

Following Mansoura’s relegation from the Premier League, a summer exit is imminent for the 22-year-old guardian, who is now added to Zamalek’s shortlist.

"We are aiming to add a goalkeeper as backup for Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed after Mohamed Abdul-Monsef said he wants to leave," Zamalek director Ibrahim Hassan told FilGoal.com.

"Aboul-Saoud is a talented goalkeeper and has good experience despite his young age, so we’ll probably approach Mansoura at the end of the season."

Aboul-Saoud, who was part of Egypt CAN 2010 winning squad, has been officially approached by Ahly this season.

But Mansoura set a lofty LE 15 million asking-price for their star player.
