CAIRO: Gouna s lack of experience once again cost them, coach Ismail Youssef said following a 2-0 defeat to Arab Contractors.

The Egyptian Premier League newcomers failed to build on their surprising 1-0 victory over Petrojet last week.

Two goals from Alaa Kamal and Mohamed Samara sank them at Arab Contractors Stadium on Wednesday.

We committed silly mistakes and wasted many goal-scoring opportunities which would have given us a win, Youssef told FilGoal.com.

Lack of experience was the main reason behind the defeat against Contractors.

Gouna were tipped for a promising season after signing some big-name players in the close season, including goalkeeper Sherif Ekrami and midfield duo Amr Samaka and Wael Riad.

They were unlucky though after Samaka and Riad sustained serious knee injuries that will keep them on the sidelines for a lengthy spell.

Gouna lie 11th in the 16-team table after bagging five points from as many games.

I will do my best to improve the team s displays and league position, Youssef added.
