CAIRO: Egyptian Football Association (EFA) president Samir Zaher said that he is looking for new faces to be appointed within the Association s board.
Former vice president Ahmed Shobeir and former board member Ahmed Shaker have rejected Zaher s proposal to be appointed within the new board.
After lavishing praise for both Shobeir and Shaker, Zaher confirmed that their replacements will be from outside the Egyptian football scene.
Shobeir and Shaker have been two of the most useful figures in the history of the Association, Zaher told FilGoal.com.
I respect their decision to turn down the offer.
Now I m looking to appoint people who haven t played football or worked with the EFA before to benefit from other fields expertise.
It s worth noting that the president, who won a second term as head of the Association on Friday, has the right to appoint two members within his elected board.
