Schneider Electric opens third factory in Egypt

Cairo: Schneider Electric Egypt inaugurated its third manufacturing site in Egypt, located in Badr Industrial City, with a total investment of LE 250 millions, the company said in a statement.

“Schneider Electric will use the latest construction technologies to ensure that the factory is echo-friendly, designed to dispose of industrial waste while having the least amount of negative impact on the environment, the statement read.

Schneider Electric began operations in Egypt 22 years ago.

“The Egyptian market is one of our most important markets in the Middle East and the inauguration of the Badr factory indicates the stability and uniqueness of the Egyptian economy, said Henri Lachmann, chairman of the supervisory board.

This new manufacturing site is part of Schneider Electric’s strategy to provide sustainable, energy-efficient technologies, the company said.

“Our solutions-based approach, comprising products, services and consultation, is the best way to achieve energy efficiency goals. We make energy safer, more reliable, more productive, efficient and green for our customers, said Emmanuel Le Masson, managing director of Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa.
