CAIRO: Tersana coach Mohamed Salah has left the club following the team s 1-0 league defeat at the hands of Gaish on Sunday.

I had a meeting with club president Hassan Farid and we both decided that it will be for the best that I leave, Salah told FilGoal.com on Monday.

The former Masri coach stressed that he wasn’t sacked by Farid, adding that another meeting will be held to formally end his contract with mutual consent.

With Salah heading out of Tersana, former Ittihad coach Mohamed Omar will take over.

Omar told FilGoal.com that he agreed on personal terms with the club and will meet Farid later on Monday to sign the official contract as Tersana head coach.

The Gaish defeat left Tersana bottom of the table with just seven points from their first 10 league games.
