CAIRO: Cairo Airport’s security police chased a refugee as he was about to be deported on a UAE-bound plane, Al-Masry Al-Youm reported.
Somali passenger Abdel Qader Osman, 22, who had arrived Friday from Dubai carrying a UN-refugee document, was refused entry by the airport authority.
While being escorted to a Dubai-bound Egypt Air flight, he tried to flee but was finally arrested and taken to the airport clinic where he was injected with a tranquilizer.
He was later returned to Dubai.
