A man suffering from chronic depression committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor, reported Al Masaa newspaper. The body of Mahmud H. A, 47, was taken to Boulaq Hospital.
His wife told police investigators that her husband had been taking medication for depression.
He had been seeking employment for the past two months following his dismissal from a company where he was working.
Apparently, this was not his first suicide attempt. His wife also revealed that earlier he had tried to throw himself into the Nile from Qasr Al Nile Bridge but was rescued by the police.
