Hossam Mounir has been named by Africa PR Week as one of the Top 10 most influential figures in Egypt’s public relations industry, recognising his more than 15-year career in strategic communications and his contribution to advancing professional practices in the local and regional markets.

The annual Africa PR Week list highlights communications leaders across the continent who are shaping the future of public relations through innovation, strategic excellence, and reputation management.

Throughout his career, Mounir has led and delivered communication campaigns across multiple sectors, including financial services and banking, energy, real estate, technology, healthcare, fast-moving consumer goods, telecommunications, media, as well as public and private sector organisations.

He has worked on campaigns for a range of global and regional institutions, including Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, DP World, Central Bank of Egypt, ExxonMobil, and Suez Canal Container Terminal, alongside brands such as Emaar, Allianz, Jumia, realme, and National Library and Archives of the United Arab Emirates.

Mounir’s professional approach centres on building sustainable media relationships, crafting clear messaging, managing corporate reputation, and supporting organisations through crisis communications, while aligning communication strategies with broader business objectives.

Beyond client work, he has contributed to mentoring young professionals in the public relations field and has participated in several community and development initiatives that have received industry recognition.

Mounir holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Cairo University, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, in addition to professional certifications in communications and public relations.
