Eight Egyptian startups showcased their innovative solutions at the world’s largest exhibition of Consumer Electronics (CES) in Las Vegas, USA, from 7 to 10 January under an Egyptian pavilion sponsored by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the General Division of the Digital Economy.

During the activities of the second day of the conference, Egyptian company Furnwish won the award for the best company that has innovative work plans for the future, as it received a prize fund of $10,000 from the Trend Fund of Trend Micro.

The startup specialising in augmented reality technology offers technology solutions that help furniture stores and interior design professionals to offer their products and services in innovative ways.

ITIDA provides support to the participating Egyptian companies, which exceeds 80% of the cost, as the authority sponsors an official pavilion for Egypt that includes spaces designated for 8 companies and bears the cost of travel and visa for a representative of each startup.

The products and services of the Egyptian startups participating in the international exhibition are varied, as they provide a set of solutions that depend on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, the Internet of things, smart city applications, content management, digital media, and others.
