13 Egyptian players qualify for 32nd round of Wadi Degla PSA World Men’s Squash Championship 2016

The Wadi Degla PSA World Men’s Squash Championship 2016 initiated its third day on 27 October.

Wadi Degla Clubs is responsible for hosting and organising the tournament. This is the first time the Professional Squash Association (PSA) gives a club, and not a squash association or a federation, the responsibility of organising such a prestigious tournament.

The championship’s prize money is $325,000, and the platinum sponsorship was given to QNB Al Ahli bank. The official sponsors are: the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Daily News Egypt, Dusit Thani, Wadi Degla Clubs, and Samir & Aly Stationery Houses and Co.

The 64th round took place over the past three days, from the 25-27 October.

The following Egyptian players qualified for the 32nd round: Youssef Soliman, Tarek Momen, Marwan El-Shorbagy, Ramy Ashour, Fares Dessuki, Omar Mossad, Mohamed Aboul Ghar, Karim Abdel Gawad, Mohamed Reda, Ali Farag, Karim Ali Fathi, Omar Abdel Meguid, and Mohamed El-Shorbagy.

Only five Egyptian players exited the tournament after being defeated in the 64th round: Mazen Gamal, Youssef Ibrahim, Karim El-Hammamy, Zahed Mohamed, and Shehab Essam.
