CAIRO: Masri are set to receive $300,000 from Lierse over the controversial transfer of striker Mohamed Al-Gabbas.

Al-Gabbas suddenly left Masri for the Belgian second-division side, using a loophole in his amateur contract with the Port Said outfit.

Following the blow of losing their marksman, Masri have reached an agreement with Lierse over a fee for their role in developing the player.

Lierse will pay $300,000 in compensation for signing Al-Gabbas. We will also receive 25 percent of his next sale, Masri chairman Ali Faragallah told FilGoal.com.

Being an Egyptian, Lierse chairman Maged Sami facilitated negotiations with the Belgian side, who missed out on a top-flight spot last season.
