GPX Global Systems Incorporation, which is specialised in providing services to data centres in the Middle East and parts of Southeast Asia, launched its second data centre in Cairo.

The new data centre (Cairo 2) offers its services to customers, on an area of 3,000 sqm. It hosts customers’ devices with the provision of infrastructure that includes 5 MW of power and fibre optic paths, which enhances GPX’s ability to provide hosting services for customers’ information system devices.

Demand for information services centres in Egypt is growing due to the increased need for alternative systems and the increased reliance on cloud systems. The new GPX data centre (Cairo 2) is located in the central business district in New Cairo, where it offers a safe and accessible place for local and international clients to meet their needs for information systems services centres.

GPX was established in August 2002, and specialises in the development and operation of information and data centres in emerging and fast-growing commercial markets in the Middle East, North Africa, and regions of Southeast Asia. GPX has offices in New York, Dublin, Cairo and Mumbai.
