Chairperson of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Mokhtar Abdel Latif and French Ambassador to Cairo Eric Chevalier witnessed the signing of a new cooperation agreement between AOI and Dassault, the French aerospace and defense giant, during the second day of AOI’s participation in EDEX 2025.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Abdel Latif underscored the importance of deepening industrial cooperation and integration with Dassault. He reaffirmed AOI’s commitment to localizing technology, attracting investment and increasing local manufacturing content by leveraging its advanced production capabilities in line with Egypt’s Sustainable Development Vision 2030.
He noted that AOI is already part of Dassault’s global supply chain, manufacturing spare parts in accordance with Fourth Industrial Revolution standards. This includes extensive collaboration in producing key components of Dassault products at AOI’s Engine Factory, headed by Gamal Ramadan.
Abdel Latif expressed hope that AOI’s factories and subsidiaries will evolve into advanced industrial hubs, supporting knowledge exchange and expanded partnerships with Dassault to meet domestic needs and enhance export capacity to friendly and neighboring countries.
French Ambassador Eric Chevalier highlighted AOI’s potential to serve as a strategic industrial platform for boosting French exports to Arab and African markets, contributing to the growth of bilateral trade.
Anne-Lise Dallut, General Manager of Dassault Egypt, praised AOI’s role as Egypt’s industrial backbone in both defense and civilian manufacturing. She emphasised the value of AOI’s advanced production capabilities in helping Dassault expand exports to Arab and African countries, noting that AOI’s Engine Factory fully meets Dassault’s rigorous quality, operations and production standards.
During the event, Dassault’s delegation toured AOI’s exhibition pavilion and expressed admiration for the advanced products aligned with Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. Abdel Latif also visited Dassault’s pavilion, reaffirming the importance of scaling up cooperation to localize cutting-edge defense technologies.
