The 6th Smart Transport and Logistics Fair and Forum for the Middle East and Africa (TransMEA 2025), scheduled to take place from 9 to 11 November at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, will feature a Reverse Industrial Exhibition under the slogan “Industry and Transport Together for Sustainable Development.”

The Reverse Industrial Exhibition will act as a key platform linking manufacturers with import needs and local production capabilities, with the goal of enhancing industrial integration, reducing imports, and strengthening the competitiveness of Egyptian industry.

This initiative provides a unique forum for manufacturers and suppliers to exchange expertise, identify production requirements, and explore opportunities to locally manufacture components and inputs in line with required specifications and cost parameters.

By promoting local manufacturing, the exhibition supports industrial development, conserves foreign currency, and reinforces supply chains serving ministries, government agencies, and national companies. Previous editions of the event have yielded positive outcomes, enabling local production of several key inputs previously imported by Egyptian firms and public institutions.

Through this platform, the Ministry of Industry aims to foster closer collaboration between importers and local manufacturers, aligning market demand with domestic industrial capacity. The exhibition also seeks to spotlight untapped local capabilities, encouraging greater reliance on Egyptian-made products across both domestic and regional supply chains.

The Ministry has invited all local manufacturers and suppliers to participate in the Reverse Industrial Exhibition, which aims to identify and showcase production inputs not yet manufactured locally—creating tangible opportunities to localise their production within Egypt.
