Russia, Brazil discuss cooperation in BRICS, G20

Nizhny Novgorod – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira met on the sidelines of a BRICS foreign ministers meeting to discuss cooperation in BRICS and the G20, where both countries hold the presidency this year.

The Russian Foreign Ministry described the discussions as “interesting and constructive”, covering key areas of bilateral strategic partnership and collaboration on international platforms.

The ministers also addressed international and regional issues, including the conflict in Ukraine.

The meeting took place amidst a friendly atmosphere, reflecting the traditionally strong ties between Russia and Brazil, the ministry stated.
