Egypt’s foreign minister phones Algerian counterpart over boosting ties

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry phoned on Wednesday his newly appointed Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf.

Ahmed Abou Zeid, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Minister Shoukry congratulated Attaf on assuming his new post following the recent ministerial reshuffle, wishing him success in his new mission.

The two ministers stressed the importance of the distinguished relations between Egypt and Algeria, and the importance of continuing to develop these relations in various fields in accordance with the directives of the political leadership in both countries.
