India’s Ambassador in Cairo launches a contest for glimpses of India

India’s Ambassador in Cairo Ajit Gupte kicked-off on Monday the Glimpses of India annual drawing competition organised by the embassy in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.

The competition will be running till 14 December in Cairo and a number of other governorates across the country.

Gupte said that the competition is held annually to celebrate the close relations between Egypt and India, praising the level of the students at participating schools and the talents that emerged through the artworks that they presented. Nearly 1,500 students participated in inauguration of the evet at Freedom Park.

The competition was also held at the Child Centre for Civilisation and Creativity in Heliopolis and the Orman Park in Giza. It will be held tomorrow as well at the Teachers Club in Tanta, Gharbeya, and the Zagazig Military Secondary School in Sharqeya.

The competition will conclude on Wednesday at the Lycée Al-Horreya in Alexandria and the Hamed Gohar Official Language School in the Red Sea.
