Greece’s FM to discuss developments in Libya, the Aegean during his visit to Egypt

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry will receive on Sunday the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting will be followed by a joint press conference after discussing several files of common interest to the two countries.

According to his official Twitter account, the Greek FM said: “I will visit Cairo on Sunday, where I will talk with my friend, Egyptian FM Sameh Shoukry.”

“Our discussions will focus on bilateral relations, as well as the latest developments in the Aegean, Libya, and the Middle East,” he added.

On Friday, Egypt’s Ambassador in Athens Omar Amer met with Deputy Greek FM Miltiadis Varvestios, where they discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between Egypt and Greece.

They also conducted consultations regarding the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two countries in the field of benefiting from Egyptian labour.
