Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Anany and Minister of Civil Aviation Mohammad Manar held an expanded meeting within the framework of permanent cooperation and coordination between their respective ministries to activate and push more tourism and air movement to Egypt.

El-Anany began the meeting by thanking Manar for his cooperation and permanent support for the Egyptian tourism sector, especially through the great efforts that his ministry assigned to the sector, which increased the demand for travel to Egyptian tourist destinations.

He pointed out that linking the different Egyptian tourist destinations with each other contributes to creating an integrated tourism product that combines different tourism patterns, such as integrating cultural tourism with beach and recreational tourism, which is an essential requirement for tour operators and tourists.

For his part, Manar commended the effective cooperation and coordination between the two ministries for stimulating air movement and directing incoming tourists to the various tourist attractions and destinations in Egypt.

He also praised the role of the political leadership and the Egyptian government in supporting the tourism and aviation sectors and encouraging investments in the country, adding that the aviation ministry is seeking to grant many appropriate facilities to investors to stimulate air and tourism movement and work to overcome any obstacles they may face.

Furthermore, the two sides discussed mechanisms and ways to boost and revitalise incoming air and tourist traffic to Egypt by providing a package of discounts that contribute to promoting the country’s tourist destinations and attract more air and tourist traffic from foreign markets to Egypt as well as overcoming all difficulties that tour operators, tourists, and investors face.

Additionally, the two ministers discussed the views and proposals of investors to increase the number of tourists to various cities and destinations in Egypt.
