Egypt, Singapore discuss bilateral relations, international issues

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry met on Wednesday with Teo Chee Hean — Singaporean Senior Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security, and Chairperson for the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Climate Change — in Singapore — the second stop on his ongoing Asian tour.

The meeting discussed ways of enhancing cooperation and coordination on climate in the coming period in light of Egypt’s presidency and hosting of the upcoming Conference of Parties on Climate Change (COP 27) in Sharm El-Sheikh this November in addition to means of bolstering cooperation in various fields of mutual interest.

The two sides also exchanged views regarding important regional and international issues, evaluating their impact as well as discussing ways to cooperate in the field of counter terrorism.
