Future of Data Centers Summit to kick off in February

The Future of Data Centers (FDC) announced that it will kick-off the fourth round of its technology summit in February.

The summit will feature four major events: digital transformation, AI and Big Data, cyber security, and FDC Stars for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The summit will be held under the auspices of Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat between 28 February and 1 March at City Stars’ Intercontinental Hotel in Cairo.

“At the fourth round of the FDC Summit, we plan to present an integrated technology model for the industry based on overseeing and analysing the various developments in key areas such as the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in driving the digital transformation and the role of AI and data analysis in shaping the future of different sectors. We also want to present the modern direction in Cyber Security,” said Tarek Shabaka, the CEO of Mideast Communication Systems.

“The summit has become the largest event in Egypt and Africa under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and its partnership with a number of local authorities and global leading technology innovators, which is reflected in Egypt’s position on the global map of information technology and its ability to lead the African Continent.”

“Our main objective in the summit depends on the tremendous role that we play as representatives of the private sector in contributing effectively to lead the digital transformation in Egypt and Africa and cope with the preceding changes and requirements for the business sectors and transferring the knowledge of the international companies to the local market,” he added.

Additionally, the fourth round of the FDC Summit will feature the participation of experts and specialists in addition to several international companies and technology innovators that are keen on transferring their technical experience, services, and technological products to the Egyptian market, including governmental entities, business sectors, leading Egyptian companies, partners, and customers.
