Madbouly chaired on friday a meeting to follow up on the current situation of the development and service projects being implemented in the governorate, and efforts to deal with the heavy rains that Aswan was subjected to recently.

The meeting also discussed ways to enhance the exceptional tourism and archaeological components that the governorate enjoys.

Madbouly added “We are witnessing giant projects in the governorates of Upper Egypt, most notably the “Benban” project to generate electricity from solar energy, which won a large share of international acclaim, and won international awards that reflect its importance, and the project is a clear indication that the Egyptian government It is moving towards supporting environmentally compatible clean energy projects.”

The Prime Minister began his tour by inspecting the road development works leading to the “Kima 2” factory, then he made an extensive tour inside the factory, which is one of the major industrial projects in Upper Egypt, with investments close to EGP 12bn.

Madbouly also inspected the ongoing development works in New Aswan, which is being built on an area of 22,000 acres, and according to the general plan of the city, it includes a number of residential areas, investment areas, regional service areas, service and entertainment hubs, in addition to the industrial area, and the village.
