Egypt receives mobile medical clinics to detect COVID-19 from US

Egypt has received a number of mobile medical clinics for detecting the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) as a gift from the United States.

The clinics consist of analysis laboratories with medical supplies provided by the US government in order to support Egypt’s efforts to confront the spread of COVID-19.

The Director of the Medical Services Department of the Egyptian Armed Forces Magdy Amin asserted Egypt’s keenness to extend cooperation with USA in various fields, confirming the extent of the American solidarity with Egypt in its war against one of the most important humanitarian disasters due to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

The US ambassador in Cairo, Jonathan Cohen, expressed his full appreciation for the role played by the Egyptian state in confronting the spread of the Coronavirus, and that these initiatives aim to support ways of cooperation and partnership relations between both countries.

It is scheduled that the two clinics will be affiliated with the Department of Medical Services of the Armed Forces, and these mobile clinics will be used in order to support Egypt’s efforts to confront the Coronavirus pandemic.

Egypt had also sent shipments of medical aid, including medicines and medical supplies, to the US to confront the pandemic.
