The Turkish forces fired on Syrian troops in the northern province of Raqqa on Sunday, a war monitor reported.
The shelling was carried out by the Turkish forces and Ankara-backed rebels on the Syria’s forces in the countryside of Tal Abyad town in the countryside of Raqqa province, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
A day earlier, the Turkish forces targeted the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the countryside of Tal Abyad, where Syria’s forces and Kurdish groups are located.
The UK-based watchdog group said no reports have emerged yet about casualties.
The shelling is part of the tension between the Turkish forces on one side and the Syria’s army and Kurdish forces on the other hand.

On 24 August 2016, the Turkish forces invaded Syria. Another operation was launched in 2019 against the SDF.
