Al Ahly Sabbour Development has joined forces with the Tahya Misr Fund to provide ventilators for coronavirus patients and 75,000 detection kits.

The company is also looking to provide assistance to physicians by delivering supplies to the seven hospitals built across Egypt to treat coronavirus patients. Al Ahly Sabbour is also securing 250 tonnes of basic food commodities to 30,000 low-income families nationwide. It is also looking to hire employees who were severely affected by the outbreak.

Starting with Cairo and Giza, the initiative aims at ensuring that families stay at home, to reduce the chances of contracting the virus.

Ahmed Sabbour, CEO of Al Ahly Sabbour, said, “The initiative comes in line with the company’s commitment to its social responsibility towards the Egyptians, as well as our firm belief in the significant role played by private-sector companies and the business community in times of crisis in order to contribute to developing our community. We had to adopt a positive attitude in dealing with the situation we’re currently facing and be proactive as we work to eliminate and curb the spread of COVID-19 in Egypt.”

He added, “This situation requires serious, collaborative efforts and an urgent sense of unity between all sides in order to overcome this phase, which is why at Al Ahly Sabbour, we are employing all of our strengths to help the government in its efforts to support citizens in order to ensure we get back on our feet sooner than expected.”

Al Ahly Sabbour has taken all necessary precautions to curb the spread and maintain the well-being of its employees, the people present on their premises, and workers across construction sites. The company is abiding by all regulations issued by both the Egyptian Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization. This includes reducing the number of employees at the administrative building, and providing engineers, technicians, and security personnel with masks and gloves.

The company carried out a comprehensive sterilisation process across its offices and construction sites. It has also taken on a number of doctors within its facilities to follow up on the status of employee health, whilst distributing info-graphs raising awareness and providing instructions on avoiding the infection of the coronavirus.

Al Ahly Sabbour is working hard to balance between the well-being of all employees and continue working as the real estate sector drives several industries alongside it.
