Egypt’s National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) agreed with the mobile operators and the Ministry of Health to provide 3,000 minutes and 10 GB mobile internet free of charge to all doctors, medical staff, administrators, and workers in quarantine hospitals.

This serves as a token of gratitude to the medical staffs who have been working night and day to provide their services to the citizens during these difficult times, helping coronavirus patients, and strive to limit its spread.

Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has also launched several initiatives with telecom operators to support the efforts of the state combating emerging coronavirus.
