Samsung’s market share declines 1.5% in February, still tops market

Samsung has continued to top Egypt’s mobile market despite a 1.5% decline in its market share in February. According to a StatCounter report, Samsung’s market share fell to 39% of phones sales from 40.5% in January 2018.

According to the report, Huawei maintained second place in terms of mobile phone sales with a 14.1% share of the market in February versus 13.9% in January 2018, achieving slight growth.

Meanwhile, Apple achieved significant growth in its market share in February, rising by 3.4%. The company’s market share of mobile sales in Egypt increased from 10.3% in January to 13.7% in February.

Lenovo took fourth place in February, although the brand’s market share fell from 8.3% in January to 7.4% in February.

Infinix ranked fifth. Its market share declined slighty in February, reaching 4.9% versus 5.1% in January 2018.

According to the report, HTC’s market share registered 3.3% in February compared to 3.1% in January, ranking sixth on the list.

In addition, Tecno’s share in February fell to 2.2% from 2.3% in January 2018.

Nokia came last with a market share of 1.7% in February, falling from 2.1% in January 2018.
