Commercial International Bank-Egypt (CIB) honoured the first graduating class of the SME Consultant Programme, in collaboration with the Association of Accredited Small Business Consultants (AASBC), a highly qualified and competent organisation that provides valuable consultation across the field.

The SME Consultant Programme, implemented by CIB Business Banking, focuses heavily on integrating the latest educational methods into the world of small business management and growth strategies. The bank celebrated 33 graduates who specialised in Business Banking Client Advisors, Business Banking District Heads, and Credit Analysts during an event attended by CIB Chief Executive Officer and Board Member Hussein Abaza, CIB Chief Executive Officer of Consumer Banking Ahmed Issa, and CIB head of Business Banking Rashwan Hammadi.

This certification qualifies the graduates to have a better understanding of different types of business models, growth strategies, and market dynamics to identify rising challenges and seek potential opportunities at the company’s operations. Participants in the programme attend an intensive training course and commit to self-studies of comprehensive material and online sessions, followed by an online final assessment.

AASBC is the only global association focusing on training and certifying small and medium business consultants. It provides proprietary educational materials and practice aides explicitly designed to develop proficiency. Accredited SME consultants acquire the knowledge and credibility to assist clients in improving operational efficiency, which leads to increased profitability and business value. In this respect, CIB-Egypt’s management is enthusiastic to further enroll potential calibres to the programme in order to upgrade their skills and competencies.

This programme falls within the bank’s framework to enhance the productive quality of the employees and qualify them to overcome challenges and become more efficient in managing relationships with small and medium enterprise customers. In this regard, CIB-Egypt is further strengthening its leading position across the Egyptian market by maintaining its commitment to provide the best-in-class banking services to its clients.
