EGP 60.9bn in invested capital for public sector companies in FY 2014/2015: CAPMAS

The total value of invested capital for public sector companies amounted to EGP 60.9bn in fiscal year (FY) 2014/2015, versus EGP 50.4bn in FY 2014/2013, an increase of 20.9%, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The agency issued its annual bulletin on finance indicators of public business and public sector companies, except banks and insurance companies, for FY 2014/2015 on Tuesday.

According to the CAPMAS, the value of the current liabilities reached EGP 81.4bn in FY 2014/2015 compared to EGP 68.4bn in FY 2013/2014, an increase of 19.0%.

The value of the current assets reached EGP 92.7bn in FY 2014/2015 from EGP 79.9bn in FY 2013/2014, an increase of 16%.

As for public sector companies, CAPMAS stated that the value of current assets amounted to EGP 226.6bn in FY 2014/2015 compared to EGP 192.9bn in FY 2013 /2014, an increase rate of 17.5%.

The capital of these companies increased by 16.1% to reach EGP 105.8bn in FY 2014/2015 compared to EGP 91.1bn in FY 2013/2014.

Moreover, the value of the net invested capital reached EGP 313.6bn in FY 2014/2015 from EGP 276.2bn in FY 2013/2014, an increase of 13.6%.
