The 2016 Montreal Squash Open Tournament, which started on 1 March in Canada concluded its events on 6 March.

Egyptian squash champion Ali Farag, who originally plays for the Heliopolis Sporting Club, won the tournament. Farag’s ranking came 14th internationally, according to the Professional Squash Association (PSA) March 2016’s world men ranking.

Egyptian Karim Abdel Gawad won in second place. Abdel Gawad is ranked seventh internationally, according to the PSA’s March 2016’s world men ranking.

The tournament’s final match witnessed only Egyptian players: Farag and Abdel Gawad and Farag won against Abdel Gawad with the result of 3-11, 18-16, 9-11, 11-6, 11-7, and the final result of 3-2.
