English player Laura Massaro lost to Camille Serme with 1 to 3 points, after she defeated Nicol David (3-2) in their semi final.

This is the first title in Serme’s career among the PSA World Tour for Women and her second final game after her Hong Kong Open’s final game against world champion Nicol David, which ended with her loss.

In the men’s game, after winning the Allam British Open Squash Championship title, Egyptian player Mohamed El-Shorbagy reinforced his rank in the PSA World Tour thanks to his triumph (with a score of 3 to 2 points) against French world number 3 player Gregory Gaultier.

El-Shorbagy opened this year’s victories by winning the JP Morgan Tournament Champions celebrated in the US in January. Then, he remained without any records for four months. After winning Allam British Open, his credit points rose to 16,240 points, a difference of 3,445 points from his French competitor. Gregory Gaultier has a credit of points that reached 12,795 points, while the credit for the British player Nick Matthew, who occupies the third place, was 12,410 points.

El-Shorbagy won his first round against the English player James Willstrop with a score of 3 to 1 points. In the second round, El-Shorbagy defeated the Spanish Player Borja Golan with 3 to 2 points. The quarterfinal witnessed the German player Simon Rosner’s loss with 3 points to 0. His victory (3/1) over world number 3 Nick Matthew in the tournament’s semifinal proves that he deserves the championship title.
