CAIRO: Shareholders in Telecom Egypt approved a LE 1.3 ($0.22) cash dividend at a meeting on Tuesday, the firm said in a statement.
The firm’s 2010 net profit soared by 8 percent to LE 3.3 billion.
Shares in the landline monopoly rose 3.2 percent while Egypt’s benchmark share index inched up 0.03 percent at 0916 GMT.
