Egypt's EFG-Hermes says Q1 profit more than triples

CAIRO: Egyptian investment bank EFG-Hermes on Monday said its net profit more than tripled year-on-year in the first quarter of 2010.

The firm made a net profit of LE 484 million ($86 million) on revenue of LE 1.07 billion, compared to a net profit of LE 140 million on revenue of 328 million a year earlier, it said in an earnings release.
