CAIRO: Amir Azmi has terminated his contract with Turkish side Diyarbakirspor, the Egyptian defender said on Wednesday.

The former PAOK man has recently filed a complaint with the Turkish Football Association over Diyarbakirspor s failure to pay him his monthly wages.

He is now free to leave the promoted club after being granted his wish to annul the contract.

I spent three months here without receiving any money. This has never happened in my career before, Azmi told FilGoal.com.

I decided to return to the Egyptian league to play regularly and increase my chances of playing in the national team.

I received some Egyptian offers which I will consider in the January transfer window.

Azmi was due to start the season with Cairo club Zamalek but suddenly left them in the summer.

His compatriot Ayman Abdel-Aziz, who is on loan at Diyarbakirspor from Zamalek, also said he was unhappy with the Turkish side s treatment but is yet to reveal whether he will depart the club.
