CAIRO: Mohamed Barakat will be available for Ahly s Egyptian Premier League game against Masri on Wednesday, the player said.
The mercurial midfielder was declared fit to take part in Ahly s clash at Gaish on Friday after recovering from a pelvic injury.
He was initially included in the Red Devils squad for the match but had to pull out few hours before kick-off due to a sore throat.
I m feeling a lot better now. I will take part in Monday s training session and should be fit to play against Masri, Barakat was quoted as saying by Ahly s official website.
The 32-year-old s versatility gives Ahly coach Hossam Al-Badri plenty of options.
He is a natural attacking midfielder but can also play as a central midfielder and as right-back.
Barakat, who presented a comic show during the month of Ramadan, has been an integral member of Ahly s squad since joining from Qatar s Arabi in the summer of 2004.
