CAIRO: The Cairo derby between Ahly and Zamalek has been postponed to April 23, the Egyptian Football Association announced on Saturday.

The match was delayed due to Ahly s African commitments, Nayef Ezzat, head of the EFA competitions committee, told FilGoal.com.

Ahly visit Tanzania s Young Africans on April fifth in the second-leg of the Champions League round of 32.

The Red Devils were due to face archrivals Zamalek in the same day in the Egyptian Premier League.

The Cairo duo met four times this season in the Egyptian Super Cup, the Champions League and the Egyptian league.

Ahly won three matches and drew once as Zamalek, who last defeated the six-time African champions in May 2007, failed to end their derby jinx.
