CAIRO: Ismaili president Nasr Aboul-Hassan hit out at reports claiming that the club has accepted a Zamalek offer for defender Sherif Abdel-Fadil.

Some newspapers said that we will sell Abdel-Fadil to Zamalek but that is absolute rubbish, Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com on Wednesday.

The club is yet to set out plans for transfers. The window is not open now.

People who spread such news want to destabilize our team because we are competing for the league title.

In-form defender Abdel-Fadil has been consistently linked with a move to either Ahly or Zamalek after a series of impressive displays for Ismaili.

The 26-year-old said last month he considered leaving the Dervishes after being inexplicably dropped by coach Ricardo Ferreira for three successive games.

Ismaili lies fourth in the league table with 38 points, seven adrift of leaders and rivals Ahly, who played a game more.
