CAIRO: Petrojet coach Mokhtar Mokhtar hit out at referee Tawfik Al-Sayed, who presided over the Egyptian League leaders 1-1 draw with Tersana on Thursday.

The former Ahly assistant coach believes Al-Sayed made so many mistakes during the game.

He made a lot of bad decisions, Mokhtar told FilGoal.com, He was dishing out yellow cards for no apparent reason.

I am pretty sure he hasn t practiced football at all, if so, he wouldn t have made such blunders.

The referee had to stop the game for a while after being jeered by the home side spectators.

He didn t react towards the harsh challenges of Tersana players, he wasn t the right man to officiate the game, he said.

I hereby urge the referees committee to watch the match video to see how horrible he was.

Furthermore, he assured that his players put in a good performance in the game, saying he s satisfied with their current level.

However, he s expecting that his team s form will notably plummet in the near future.

I think the players will be badly affected by the imminent League stoppage period, he added.
