CAIRO: Ghazl Mahalla have concluded the signing of former Zamalek goalkeeper Wael “Zenga Ismail from second division side Aluminum.
Club coach Ibrahim Youssef told FilGoal.com that after successfully undergoing medical tests; Zenga penned a two-year contract with the club starting from January 2009.
The keeper, who was playing his trade for Aluminum since the start of the season will be competing for a first team spot alongside Ibrahim Farag and Cameroonian guardian Iboon Massenga.
Zenga was released by Zamalek last summer alongside Tarek Al-Sayed, Ahmed Hossam, Wael Al-Qabani, Beshir Al-Tabei, Farag Atwa and Khaled Saad.
Mahalla are currently ninth in the league table on 16 points.
