In partnership with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB), Discovery Education announced on Thursday the launch of Curriculum Connect to provide teachers and students with digital resources based on the lessons found in the Egyptian curriculum. The digital curriculum will enhance the lessons teachers would need to teach students in class.

Curriculum Connect will be available to 50,000 schools in Egypt, with the capacity to drive the learning path of the country’s18.5m students. The resources will cover science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education through videos, images, text, audio recordings, and interactive simulations.

Curriculum Connect was launched—after a survey conducted by Discovery Education with teachers and students—to determine how teachers will deal with the resources it presents. 67% responded that by using the resources aligned to the curriculum in every lesson, students would become more engaged.
