Damietta Container & Cargo Handling receives four RTG cranes to raise efficiency

Marketing Director of Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co. Mohamed El-Alfy said that the company received four new RTG cranes produced by KoneCranes Company, shipped by HHL KOBE.

The cranes come as part of the company’s plan to develop and upgrade its plant’s equipment and efficiency and to increase its trading rates. The port includes a total of 20 RTG winches, which ensures that the port’s equipment and the pier operate efficiently.

The company also plans to establish an integrated work flow process. It aims to achieve revenues of EGP 500m by the end of the current fiscal year (FY), compared to EGP 385m last year.

The company’s revenues are expected to reach a net profit of over EGP 300m, as a result of the increasing activity of transits, imports, and exports.

The investment plan of the company during the next FY includes an investment of EGP 230m to buy four cranes, as well as implementing a project to strengthen the pier of the container plant.
