The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) is in the final stages of launching its new Investor Complaints Platform, a unified digital system designed to streamline the submission, tracking, and resolution of investor complaints while improving transparency and service efficiency.

Mohamed Awad, Chief Executive Officer of GAFI, reviewed the final technical and operational preparations for the platform ahead of its official launch, which is expected in the coming days.

The initiative is being implemented in line with the directives of Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid to establish a unified mechanism for receiving, monitoring, and resolving investor complaints in a transparent, efficient, and professional manner.

Awad said the platform will provide investors with a simple and user-friendly interface for submitting complaints and suggestions, supported by clearly defined response timeframes. Investors will be able to monitor the progress of their complaints using a unique reference number from submission through to resolution, while also rating their satisfaction with the services provided.

He added that the platform will serve as a key tool for assessing the performance of Egypt’s investment ecosystem through measurable indicators that can be benchmarked against international standards. It will also generate real-time reports to support policymakers and provide deeper insights into the investment climate.

During the meeting, Awad reviewed the platform’s end-to-end workflow, covering investor registration, complaint submission, case tracking through a dedicated reference number, complaint resolution, and post-service evaluation.

He said GAFI will step up awareness campaigns targeting the investment community to encourage widespread use of the platform following its launch.

Awad added that the Authority has allocated the necessary technical infrastructure and human resources to ensure the platform operates efficiently. Artificial intelligence tools will also be deployed to analyse trends and intelligently classify complaints, suggestions, and enquiries, helping to improve response times and identify recurring issues.

He noted that GAFI has established an integrated coordination mechanism with all government entities involved in investment affairs to enhance the speed and efficiency of complaint handling, ensure uninterrupted service throughout the week, and support the platform’s continuous development based on investor feedback and evolving business needs.
