Mankind’s efforts to settle the horrific war in Ukraine have failed thus far to bring peace. Here is my appeal to Pope Francis to intervene and turn the tide. This is my open letter to His Holiness.

His Holiness Pope Francis

Apostolic Palace

00120 Vatican City State

Dear Holy Father,

Thank you for letting yourself be guided by the Holy Spirit, as Francis Saint of Assisi.

The current conflict in Ukraine is a clear and present threat to world peace and humanity as we know it. May the lord bless our souls. It was none other than Albert Einstein who once said: “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones”.

Russia on her part feels threatened through the relentless NATO eastward expansion to her Western borders since 1991 and the collective West feels threatened by her military reaction to the provocation. It always needs two to Tango.

Dear Holy Father, I am a Christian believer and a believer in the good in people. I humbly call upon you to mediate in this deadly conflict of mutual destruction and killing. It has to stop. The warring parties must return to the negotiating table to end this madness.  Your word and the blessing of god can help save us from total annihilation.

Humanity survived two world wars in a relatively short period of time and we must now unite to prevent a third world war. A war that can wipe out humanity the way we know it.

Please unite all of us and make us pray to the lord that we can avert this disaster by calling for peace, an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine and a return to a negotiated peaceful solution. We all owe it to our dead souls, our ancestors, our loved ones who collectively brought us to this world giving us life through the guiding hand of god.

I truly hope that you can do your utmost, your best, to bring peace upon humanity. We all desperately need it now more than ever.

In this spirit, I remain, dear Holy Father,

Sincerely yours,

Pascal Najadi
